Where is the best place or company to sell euro for GBP amount 140000 euro?
Q. I have sold a property and will get euro and need to transfer into British pounds at the best rate. Any thoughts / experiences please?
Asked by Linz - Thu Jan 22 18:53:57 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your bank should provide currency exchange for you. Many banks do so at no cost if you are one of their customers and have an account with them. They will give you the current exchange rate. If you go to a private money changer, you will probably not get the full exchange rate and may be charged a fee as well.

How many Euro shams would i need for my queen bed?
Q. I found some shams that I like, but the color I want is a euro sham, which is square rather than rectangle. Would I still need only two on my Queen bed to make it look right?
Asked by purple_glitter_queen - Thu Apr 10 22:32:02 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Two is all you need. I use two Euro with two standard in front of my regular pillows and a few matching decorator pillows. It is plenty. On a queen you wouldn't have room for more than two.

A. The 1 Euro coin is bimetallic, with the following metal compositions: Inner/Core : Copper Nickel Outer/Ring : Nickel Brass Mass : 7.50g Diameter : 23.25mm Thickness : 2.33mm I can't tell you exactly how much the metals are worth without knowing the precise mass and alloy ratio of the ring and core, but the coin is not more than 1 Euro in metal value.

How does the Euro v rocker gaming chair hook to the Wii game system?
Q. I bought the Euro v rocker gaming chair for my son for Christmas, and it said it was compatible with the Wii gaming system. When I tried to hook it up, the cables that came with it did not hook to the Wii system. Help!
Asked by confused mom - Sat Dec 27 15:12:46 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Usually, gaming chairs only need to hook up to the sound cables. You may have to unplug the sound cables from your TV (the red and white ones), and plug those into the chair (which may require some RCA extension cables). If the chair only has a headphone jack and no RCA jacks, you will need a stereo RCA 2x to headphone cable, which can be found at places like Radio Shack.

How has the Euro effected prices in Europe? Are many countries using it?
Q. My friend and I are planning a trip in June to Ireland, and maybe Germany and France. My travel books list the Republic of Ireland's currancy as the Euro. So I'm wondering if it's replacing local money internationally, and how prices have been affected by its introduction. Thanks for your time!
Asked by ninjavanishwoosh - Wed Nov 29 03:05:10 2006 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The euro is the currency of twelve European Union countries: Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Finland. When it was introduced a couple of years ago many people felt that companies used the occasion to raise their prices. But statistics show that there was no rise in most sectors - expect normal inflation. However, in Germany restaurant prices went up significantly though. For consumers, the good part of the Euro is that you can compare prices much easier when you travel without calculating and converting. And the Euro has also a very entertaining aspect. The front sides of the coins are all the same, but the back sides differ by country where they were coined.… [cont.]

Why is the euro not the currency for buying oil in the world markets?
Q. There are almost 200 million more people in the EU than in the USA. The majority of the people in the EU are well educated. Whereas in the US it is a minority. We are a more industrialised nation than the US and the Euro is probably a stronger currency than the dollar.

A. Yes true, but remember that the Euro only came into existence a few years ago, so historically obviously it would have been necessary to use another currency.

A. Not sure how this relates to computer networking, but The 1 Cent Euro coin is copper covered steel. That explains why it's magnetic, but not why your laptop is. Unless that spot is right over a speaker with it's permanent magnet.

After the Euro formed, how did banks change the way the European public paid its loans, without domestic money?
Q. I am looking for facts from informed individuals or European based citizens. When the Euro was accepted, was the old currency exchanged for Euro's? What was that rate of exchange? Also, how were pre-Euro loans paid? Same quantity of old domestic currency but in Euro's or was it paid at A Euro exchange rate?. Someone give me an example of what would happen to someone with a student loan at that point in history. Thank you in regards to the question. This topic is confusing and hard to find information on.
Asked by ok truth - Mon May 5 19:34:19 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The euro was launched as an accounting currency in 1999, but it was only in 2002 that euro coins and notes came into circulation. When it was launched, all member countries had exchange rates fixed at inception. These were determined by market forces, but, come January 1st, 1999, they could no longer fluctuate as regular currencies do when they are traded. So, whatever the exchange rate was in 1999, it was the same in 2002 when the notes and coins came into circulation. If you had a student loan that started in 1998 and lasted for, say, 10 years, then from 1999 onwards your bank would've been obliged to show the balance in both your own currency and euro on the statement. The balance of course would be converted using the fixed exchange… [cont.]

How many French Francs to the Euro when they signed up to the EU currency?
Q. I have been advised one Franc in 1940 was worth 0.3 Euro today. Surely that is too high? The Vichy government paid the Nazi's one million Francs a day towards the cost of the occupation as part of the Armistice agreement signed in June 1940. I am trying to establish the true value in todays market for my new screenplay Triangle. Merry Xmas everyone!
Asked by dramboooohie - Sun Dec 20 04:53:55 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. From January 1, 1999, the value exchange rate of the French franc against the euro was set at a fixed parity of 1 EUR=6.55957 FRF. Euro coins and notes replaced the franc entirely between January 1 and February 17, 2002.

How can I reduce latency to a euro server when i'm from asia?
Q. I checked that my latency connecting to the euro game server is 200+. Why are there still occasional lag spikes? Anything I can do to tweak this? Help appreciated!
Asked by james D - Wed Feb 20 01:16:36 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Unfortunately, not much you can do really. Given the distance traveled, some latency is inherent due to the limitations of light's speed over a fiber optic medium. That said, I believe the "perfect" connection (fiber from your computer all the way to the game server) operating at the speed of light would still be somewhere around 40-50ms to go those kinds of distances. Add in some network traffic and you can easily see 200+. Without a faster connection, you just arent going to go any faster and, even with a faster connection, you arent going to go exponentially faster.

How to resolve a triple draw at Euro 2008?
Q. What if in Euro 2008, on Group C, Romania loses to Holand 0-3 and France and Italy draw 0-0? In that case, Romania, France and Italy will all have the same points, goals against, goals for and goal difference... Not to mention that after such events, all three teams would have played with each other and have all games resulted in draws...
Asked by John Smith - Sun Jun 15 16:16:04 2008 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments

A. If France, Italy and Romania have the same goals against, goals for and goal difference results (and points), then the country who is highest ranked on the world(football)list will go to the quarter finals.

How do you arrange Euro pillows on a king sized bed?
Q. Euro pillows are square and do not fill the length of a king bed. All those tidy photos advertising them are taken on queen sized beds. How do you arrange these pillows, which generally lie against the headboard? I just bought a new set and did some mixing and matching. I used four Euro pillows, facing inward and then added a fifth smaller square pillow in the center. I like how it looks, but with the decorative pillows it's a bit too much. Any ideas?
Asked by Aster - Tue May 12 07:47:53 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Personally, I think three of the Euros might look better. Unless four don't look jammed in there. They don't look good too close to the edge. What you need to create is a triangle from headboard toward the center of the bed, you place 3-4 Euros, 2-3 Shammed regulars, 2-3 contrast throw pillows, 2 neckrolls, and 1 small feature throw as the cherry on the sundae.
