Luc Luycx (born April 11, 1958 in Aalst Aalst is a city and municipality on the Dender River, 19 miles northwest from Brussels. It is located in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Aalst itself and the villages of Baardegem, Erembodegem, Gijzegem, Herdersem, Hofstade, Meldert, Moorsel, and Nieuwerkerken-Aalst. His signature on all euro coins is visible as two L In English, L can have several values, depending on whether it occurs before or after a vowel. The alveolar lateral approximant occurs before a vowel, as in lip or please, while the velarized alveolar lateral approximant (IPA [ɫ]) occurs in bell and milk (see Dark L). This velarization does not occur in many European languages that use L; it is letters connected together (LL). On the 2-euro coin, this is visible under the O of the word EURO on the common side.
